Creation Timeout?

  • Hi,

    I’m experimenting this plug-in among other to generate pdf’s from pages.
    The problem is that my page is quite big (around 40 pages in pdf translated into a wordpress page)

    While exporting much smaller pages it runs correctly, but in this it always gives error after a long time. Is there any timeout issue?

    Also this page isn’t accessible to the web, but the smaller pages aren’t also but it has correctly created the pdf.

    Reducing the page size won’t be a solution since the plugin don’t support aggregating multiple pages into a pdf creation.
    Is there any other solution?

    Hi,

    yes, there is a timeout. The PDF24 plugin requires that the page elemenets like images, styles or other refereced things are available from the outside. The PDF24 converter is an external PDF24 service which converts several thousand documents each day. The wordpress plugin uses this service to convert the wordpress HTML to a PDF file. Therefore it is necessary that referenced elements are available from the outside so that the converter can access those elements. Otherwise a timeout will happen which stops the conversion process and you will get an error.
