Creative clean recent posts in home page

    Hello,
    I am working on a CC based WP site. I would like to have the recent posts to be displayed (dynamically) in the appearance->themesettings–>home page–>Box 1 content. In fact this is a text area and there is no option to drag and drop a recent posts widget over here.
    Please let me know if there is a method to achieve the same.
