Hi, we had an order which was paid with a woocommerce discount code. Total amount of the order = 0 euros. Now we want a credit note for this order because we cancelled it. When clicking on “refunded” in order status, the system does not create a credit note. What are we doing wrong? thanks for the help.

    Hello Sophie,
First of all: the free version does not support credit notes!

Are you using the Professional extension? If so, you should be able to create a credit note after refunding an order. Do note that besides setting an order to ‘Refunded’, you will also actually have to create the refund, as this creates a new order internally with all the information required for the plugin to put in the Credit note. See: Creating a refund/credit note

If you’re still unable to create credit notes, please send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to help!

    Hope that helps!

Great, it worked! Using the pro indeed.
Normally we don’t have to fill in the refund amount / make the refund manually in order to receive a credit note. But with this one, we had to, probably because of the amount being 0 euros (due to the use of a woocommerce gift coupon). Thanks for the quick response!

Great! Very glad to hear that it works now!
Next time I recommend emailing us directly, as that is one of the benefits of being a paying user ??

    Have a fantastic day!
