• Functionality of this suite of plugins is theoretically nice, but is crippled by a bad implementation of admin-ajax.php. Basically as soon as you log into the WP Control Panel to edit your site, you get a “Your account has exceeded the hourly access limit for your API key” error and are unable to use any of the plug-ins. What seems to be happening is simply logging into the control panel is enough to cause IDX Broker to record an exponential spike in API calls, beyond what seems to be a arbitrarily low limit. I made the developer aware of this issue 5 months ago and they seem to have not addressed it; perhaps they want to get customers to buy higher API limits than they really need. I will not recommend this suite to future real estate clients.

This is a hosting issue and we have seen this happen before with the way object caching is handled. This is the first we have seen a post from you regarding this issue and will require additional troubleshooting to thoroughly identify the cause for you. Is this rate limit mentioned in the IDX Broker account? If so, do you have other sites using the same API key? Are you using this on a development site? IDX Broker only has two limits for the API and those are account specific. With a Lite accound you get 125 and with platinum you get 250 per hour. There are not any higher tiers and we have no other reports of the issue you are having. Please contact our support team for further investigation with this issue [email protected]

I have to agree with IDX Broker on this one that this is not a plugin issue. This is on the user end. In all of the work I have done with WordPress and IDX Broker integrations, I have never had a rate limit issue on the API.
