    Hi,

after updating to 8.1.1 (I updated from 8.0.x), basically every order we get is broken.

The buyer information is completely empty, no payment issued, stock reduced.

I am 100% able to reproduce it… put something into the basket, checkout, pay by either Paypal or Stripe.

    No issue, no error, nothing.
Order confirmation page says “thanks for your order”, lists all items but says 0€.

Payment is neither visible in PP or credit card on client side, nor on seller side.

I can see in the logs that the call “order-received/12345/?key” is being done without an order key.

Before the update, there always was one.

Is there a way to downgrade again?
Right now, the shop is not usable at all.

Thanks and urgent help is appreciated

    Markus

When cancelling the (test) orders, I run into timeouts

Also, when opening the order, it takes ages to open them in the editor.

Every order which has been created before the update to 8.1.1 opens within 3-4 seconds.

I installed 8.1.1 it broke the dashboard, told me I am running a development unstable version and to run some -ppm command or install the full version, I did not even risk losing orders, I rolled it back until it is resolved. Crickets from woocommerce.

Anyone having issues with 8.1.1 use the plugin “WP Rollback” until it is resolved.

I don’t want to downgrade Woo, because there had been a DB upgrade.

We need to restore an old backup.

I found out, what is causing the issue: it’s AutomateWoo, also from WooCommerce.

This update broke my ability to add products if I try and add one I get a critical error and it breaks the front end of the site.

    Hi all,

Thank you for reporting the issue around broken orders with updates to 8.1.0+. The developers are aware of this issue which is related to AutomateWoo and are currently working on a fix for it. You can follow the public GitHub report here for updates.

@markisu72 and @katrink – In regards to timeout issues, not being able to add new products or the front end breaking, as this is not something I’ve been able to replicate nor have seen other reports on, I recommend doing a full theme and plugin conflict test. This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

If you continue to have issues, please open a new thread as this thread is regarding the broken orders bug.

@xolite – in regards to the development version messaging, I’m unable to replicate this as well, nor have found other reports. Please follow up in the thread you created here.

    Thanks!

I just wanted to chime in. I reported this to ThimPress, but the 8.2.1 update caused this issue with their LearnPress LMS plugin.
    https://app.screencast.com/FRbMYiP4l9bdE

The footer warning appears on every page. The top warning just on the LearnPress Course page. I informed the ThimPress developers but also wanted to post here in case it’s applicable. Again, this warning appeared after updating from 8.2.0 to 8.2.1.

I always take backups before updating so site was restored okay.
