    Hi

I received a scan report that said:

1 – Publicly accessible config, backup, or log file found (critical)

2 – 2 x “High” warnings about Unknown file in WordPress core

I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to put up the file names on a public forum. I’ve been googling a bit to try to work out what to do about these and came a cross a page which suggested I contact support.

I’m using the free version as I’m a newbie to Wordfence. If anyone can give me any guidance on what to do about these, I would be grateful. Should I talk to my host?

    Thanks

    Becky

  • Hi Becky

Can you send the scan findings to wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com? Make sure and add a link to this post and your forum username (beckseden) when you send it. Then reply here to let me know it is on the way.

Sent further instructions about the last issue. Since we are having the discussion there I resolved this out in the forums.
