Critical bug on sites with Full text RSS enabled

    There’s a bug in Presto Player affecting sites with “Full text RSS” enabled. Presto Player adds a “presto-fallback-iframe” with a random(*) Vimeo video to the post content in the RSS feed. I’ve replicated this on a fresh WordPress install with only Presto Player running.

    (*It embeds the video with the same Vimeo ID as Presto Player’s fallback-ID.)

    I’ve reported this to the Presto Support Team and given them access to a demo environment to experience the issue. They’ve responded that they’ve forwarded this to the developers.

    While waiting for a patched version, you solve this by switching your RSS feed from Full text to Excerpt in WP-admin > Settings > Reading.

    Presto Player 1.8.6 was just released with a patch for the bug. You can safely switch back to Full text RSS after updating.
