    Hi,
    I’m so sorry about this problem.
    But version (1.8.x) didn’t do anything relates to database. no core function changed, too.
    Also, when deactivate then delete CV, it will no longer can affect your site.
    There is no reason why your site doesn’t work again.

    Do you see any error message when you update Content Views to 1.8.x?
    If you have backup of database, please send me a copy of both old and new database (before and after update Content Views) to our contact page. I will investigate this problem.
