    Hi there,
For the last week or so I have started to get the “You have a crtical error…..”
You find what was causing it I did the disable all plugins and activate one at a time trick and I’m afraid it’s your plugin causing it.
Any idea how to correct this (I tried rename the plugin folder)?
    Thanks
PS Keep it simple please, we’re not all techies:)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

When you disable all plugins except Akismet, do you still get the error?

IF you do, if you uninstall Akismet and then reinstall it, do you still get the error?

The error disappeared when I deactivated all the plugins and only appeared when I activated it again.
I’m now going through all my plugins and activating them one by one (it also gives me a chance to see which ones I really need).
    Thanks

Update: The error message appears again when I activate the Jetpack plugin.

    Another update:
After activating all my plugins one by one I have a list of plugin’s that seem to cause the error message:
    Akismet
    Jetpack
    MLA (it’s alway MLA)
    Oik
Smush (might be corrected by latest update)
    TinyMCE Advanced

I have no idea what to do now.
    Thanks

Can you post a screenshot of the error just so I’m sure we’re both on the same page?

    Back again.
I’ve just turned on Akismet Anti-Spam and nothing has happened – typical!
I’ll try the other plugins one by one and see what happens.
The Custom Field was set up with a plugin : “CPT UI” and I’ve had no problems with it before this.

I’ve just turned on Jetpack [ith Akismet] and:

“There has been a critical error on your website.
Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”

But when I turn off akismet with Jetpack activated there’s no problem!
    Help please.

Do you have both the latest version of Jetpack and the latest version of Akismet?

Can you check if you have a file in your wp-content/ folder called debug.log? If so, check the end of the file for possible information about the error.

Blimey, what an evening, February’s gone work mad!!! (I know we’re still in January).
    Askimet is 4.1.3
    Jetpack is 8.1.1
I hope that helps and apologise for not paying attention but I’m soooo busy.
