Critical error

    Hi, currently I’m getting a critical error when trying to display gwolle guestbook. Whereas on administration page everything seems to work.

    I checked the logs of PHP and wordpress log but did not find simething which is pointing to gwolle geuestbook.

    Edit: Seems to be this is related to a combination of imsanity and gwolle. I deactivated imsanity and the gwolle error is gone.

    Hi, on the guestbook page I still see a 500 Error.

    I tried myself using Imsanity, but that works fine here. I am not sure why this happens.

    Well the deactivation and reactivation seems to be only a very temporary effect. Seems to be a mixture of imsanity and gwolle. At least I have not seen the error on other parts of the blog.

    Aha, the error is coming from Imsanity, which is hooking into the get_avatar function. For now you can go to Guestbook > Settings > Reading-tab and disable avatars.

    Can you check your PHP settings? Imsanity is expecting the PHP-GD extension to be loaded. But really, PHP-Imagick is a better extension. If both are disabled you first want to enable PHP-Imagick. If that doesn’t help. enable PHP-GD as well.

    Thank you for the reply. I checked If PHP-GD is installed and it was. After that I did a PHP update which was due on the same day and after that the error vanished. So seems to be that there was a php problem for any reason.
