Hi, after updating to 5.30.3 I tried to visit YARPP page in admin panels’ settings. However, there is a window, that a critical error appeared. And I can’t open the page.

This error, and other info was sent to my email. I have 2 websites, and on both of them this error happened. So it’s not a wrong install.

And I tried to rollback to previous version, but it didn’t help as well. Maybe it’s related to new WP version, because I’ve just updated it right before updating your plugin.

Here is the info (I translated it):

    WordPress ver. 6.2.2
    Theme: Shamrock (ver. 1.1)
Plugin with a problem: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (YARPP) (ver. 5.30.3)
    PHP version: 8.2.4

    Details of the error
    ===================================
    An error with a type E_ERROR appeared on a 14 line of a file /*my path*/*path*/*path*/litfan.ru/*path*/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/classes/YARPP_Meta_Box.php.

Message with an error: Uncaught ValueError: Unknown format specifier “$” in /*path*/*path*/*path*/litfan.ru/*path*/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/classes/YARPP_Meta_Box.php:14

    Stack trace:
    #0 /*path*/*path*/*path*/litfan.ru/*path*/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/classes/YARPP_Meta_Box.php(14): sprintf(‘\xD0\xAD\xD1\x82\xD0\xB0 \xD1\x80\xD0\xB0\xD1\x81\xD1\x88…’, ‘

Please, help to solve the problem.

Hi @giorgos93 are you still facing this error with the latest version (5.30.5) and which WordPress language locale are you running?

Hi, @jeffparker . I am still on 5.30.3, and I didn’t check your plugin’s settings since I’ve created this topic.

However, I’ve just checked (without updating), and everything works fine. No errors are shown.

If it really was a language locale issue, then probably something was fixed, so the problem disappeared.

Hi @giorgos93 Glad the issue has resolved itself! there was a known issue with the French locale language file which was fixed. Is your WordPress set on French?

@jeffparker no. Russian. Maybe cache files were cleared, or smth else. Because I had another problem today with other plugin. And clearing cached css / js files did help.

Got it. Do upgrade to 5.30.5+ when you get a chance.
