Critical Error in Website

  • Hi everyone,

    I have been experiencing an error in our site with Genesis theme installed. The error says “There has been a critical error on your website. Learn more about debugging in WordPress.” I’ve been adding an amazon product image using Thrive Architect when I encountered the error.

    It seems like an issue of compatibility, so I recommend you to verify it first so what you need to verify is, you need to deactivate you website first and then check is issue still coming and if you were not able to access admin panel then you need t reach out to the file directories of wordpress website and then rename the plugin directory inside wp-content/plugins.

    Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

    Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

    You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to deactivate plugins.
