Hi there, I’ve been successfully using this plugin for awhile now, but probably within the last month it’s begun to throw this error message when trying to access the plugin settings: “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

I saw another post here of someone having a similar issue and we also use WP Mail SMTP in order to send emails through gmail. Our server is using PHP 7.3. When WP HTML Mail is active, forms will not send, but will display a loading icon forever on submit.

I have currently deactivated this plugin so that we can continue to receive requests and messages.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @lizote
You should have received an email with detailed error messages. Can you please post this error message here?

That’s my point though, I wasn’t getting anything. No server emails anything at all. Email was completely nonfunctional. I never received the email about the error. After deactivating the plugin I started seeing regular email activity again, but anything that was sent while it was active never went through.

Which plugin do you use for your forms?

    Hello. Same here…
I used Happyform a while ago and recieved the the same critical error as Liz already explained. I used the version 1.8.15
After trying other plugin forms i decided to go back to Happyform. Now installing version 1.9.8 – same error… I
I also bought the Happyform pro version. Downloaded Version 1.10.9
After installing the free version was de-activated and when starting a new form in the pro version, same critical error.
    So what is going on…?
I do NOT recieve an email with details from the site

    Greetings Henri

I am using Contact Form 7 (v 5.1.7) with additions for using reCaptcha v2 For Contact Form 7 (v 1.2.5), Contact Form 7 Conditional Fields (v 1.8.6), and Flamingo (v 2.1.1) to log messages received from the forms. Each are updated to their latest available version.

I noticed that the critical error appears with the use of the theme Flatsome on my site. I use this theme on 3 sites and on all 3 sites there is this critical error.
I own also 2 sites with the Enfold theme and have no problem on these sites.

On a site with the Flatsome theme and the critical error, I changed the theme to a default WordPress theme, et voila no problem. Changing back to Flatsome theme, error appears again.

So there is something in the Flatsome theme (and perhaps other themes) that conflicts with happyforms
When I turned on the debug mode, I saw something with “kirki” or something likes that

    Greetings Henri

Hey @flipper1960 before we released 3.0 we installed flatsome on a test system and everything works fine. Maybe flatsome fixed the compatibility issue or we did it without knowing ??
Can you please try once more?

I have Just installed this plugin and am also getting a critical error MSG. I am using flatsome.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Kirki_Sections_Default_Section’ not found
