• No matter what I do, everything I click pops up with a redirected page that says “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.” I have checked my email and there’s nothing there as well. I’m not very tech savvy, so this is very confusing to me.

  • The reason for the error should be visible in the error log. You can find it in your hosting area. If necessary, the support of your hosting can help you.

    Alternatively, you could also enable debugging in WordPress. How to do this is described here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ – also here the support of your hosting can help you if necessary to edit the file accordingly.

    In both cases you should be able to see what the cause is in the logfile.

    1. Did you already back your site up? Do you have any previous backups? If not in both cases, I highly recommend you to back one up imediately to avoid futher headaches;
    2. Were your WP installation, themes, and plugins already updated to lastest version? If not, does in following order: plugins, themes, and WP installation;
    3. Verify whether all themes and plugins are compatible with the lastest WP version;
    4. Change the current theme to the default one;
    5. Also, do as @threadi recommend on the previous post.
