    Please help.
This was working, but I have no idea how long ago, as we are coming to the end of the season and the calendar preview that shows on the home page continues to work, as well as the links to the individual events.

I am new to this and don’t know how to figure out what is wrong. I read somewhere that the calendar cannot have the same slug as a page…there is an Events Page listed under Pages, but if this is the case, at some point it was working with this “page” existing, so I feel ridiculously confused about this and how to tell if the Events Page is the Events Calendar Page or two different “pages” that is causing an issue that didn’t used to be an issue.

I’m sure that makes no sense, but I am so frustrated and confused I don’t even know what to type.

    Thank you for any assistance.

  • Hey @titosmeow

It sounds like you might need to roll back to a previous version to:

    1. Retrieve functionality
    2. Troubleshoot the issue in a staging environment

For context, version 6 of our plugin is a major update.
We highly encourage everyone to do some testing before embracing that update to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Let us know how that goes,
    Geoff

    Thank you @geoffbel
I wondered about that but thought because the individual events as well as the calendar preview are working, that it might be something different causing the issue with only the main events calendar page.

Hi @titosmeow, sorry to hear about this. There are major changes with v6.0 and to be safe, we’d recommend conducting these tests on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

I would also suggest using a third-party plugin, Health Check Plugin — this plugin can be really helpful when testing for debugging issues.

Lastly, please clear any caching for both third-party plugins and server-side (if you have any). It would also be good to flush permalinks.

Let us know how it goes.

    Best,
    Abz

    Hey @titosmeow

Sometimes, it’s hard to know exactly what is going on. Especially when there are multiple issues at play.

The best thing is to test for conflicts on a staging site.

And sometimes the outcome of the conflict testing is that there is a bug!

Let us know what you find,

Oh and I forgot one thing!
Looking at the Google Chrome console, there are a number of jQuery errors visible.

This is most likely caused by conflicting versions or config for jQuery.
You should catch the cause as a result of testing for conflicts.

    Hi @titosmeow,

We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
