I have Woocommerce installed and working fine on a WordPress multisite. When checking the Woocommerce Status I see the following:

Woocommerce Admin – by WooCommerce – 1.2.4 – Installed version not tested with active version of WooCommerce 4.2.2

After activating Woocommerce on a sub-site I get the following error:

There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

An error log produces the following:

2020-07-05T00:25:55+00:00 CRITICAL Uncaught UnexpectedValueException: RecursiveDirectoryIterator::__construct(/var/web/site/public_html/wp-content/themes/cinematix): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /var/web/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/packages/woocommerce-admin/src/Features/Onboarding.php:393

If reading this correctly it’s not finding the Onboarding.php file. When I check the /src folder I see the Onboarding.php file.

I’ve de-activated the plugins on this sub-site except for Woocommerce & Woocommerce Admin. Again, I’m running ver 1.2.4.

Any other ideas on how to resolve this issue?
    Any responses appreciated

  • If it was me, I’d shutdown all the plugins and swap in a generic theme to get things past your problems. It will probably work just fine from the generic theme… try Twenty Seventeen for a useful, stable, generic theme.

Once you get things working well you can turn the plugins back on or swap in that other theme if you wish. As you bring back the plugins or themes you can eliminate the ones that cause problems or fix those problems as you encounter them.

You’ll probably find there are support forums or else the author has a specific support system in place for each item as you need them.

Hi @marvc. I agree with @jnashhawkins that this seems like a code conflict. Were you able to try out what they suggested? Do you still need help?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any further questions!
