Critical error on updating NextGen Gallery to 3.30

Updating site to WordPress 6.1.1 after updating NextGen Gallery to 3.30 caused a blank screen Dashboard. After much trouble-shooting, and critical error screens, downgrading to NextGen Gallery 3.26 brought Dashboard back to life. Any ideas appreciated!
