“Critical error” on website, triggered by Photocrati theme

    I tried to access my site today, at https://www.manolmanolovphotography.com and was confronted with the following message:

    It is some sort of issue with the Photocrati theme that I am running (obviously). When I rename the “photocrati-pro” folder (under wp-content>themes) to something else in Filezilla, I can now access the site, it just defaults to a different theme.

    I am no longer a member at Photocrati (choose not to renew) and they require you to be one (and pay $100, of course) before you can contact support, so I cannot get any assistance there.

    I am trying to see if I can somehow salvage the site or “repair” the theme, so it comes back up online. If anyone has any suggestions based on the above error code, on how perhaps this can be patched up, I would greatly appreciate it. i don’t believe it speaks to an incompatibility between theme and WordPress version that can be fixed by reverting to an older WP install…It simply seems that something with the theme “broke” all of a sudden, but I am not sure what triggered it.

    Since that is a commercial theme or plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best.
    Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

    Honestly speaking you have 2 choices.
    A) prolong your Photocrati support (by paying fee)
    B) replace their theme with something else suitable for your site.
