    I deactivated the Autoptimize plugin. My browser gave me this error:

    There has been a critical error on this website.

    I have purged the website cache using W3 Total Cache. Since I use Cloudflare, I “purged everything” there as well. However, the error is persisting. I am reactivating the plugin just so my site doesn’t stay offline, but can you provide steps that will help me figure out why this is happening and how I can remove Autoptimize?

    normally you should have received an automated mail from WordPress itself with a technical info (and error/ stack trace), if not you should (ask your host to) have a look at the PHP errorlog for relevant errors. based on that error we should be able to identify the root cause of the server error.

    I’m having a different issue now. When I run Autoptimize, javascript stops working on my site. I just noticed this and figured it out by turning off plugins in turn. How can I see what happened and prevent this in the future?

    Well first 2 quick questions;
    * what are the current JavaScript optimization settings?
    * what javascript errors do you see on the browser console?
