After updating I got a critical error and an email saying “WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Yoast SEO.”

The issue affects a page in the WP back end. I cannot view the live traffic page on my Wordfence plugin. Get an critical error page.

My host has been unable to solve it.

I have rolled back to an earlier version of my database; deactivated the plugin, and then deleted it; changed the theme. Nothing has worked.

Any ideas? I am completely at sea.

    Hi @naomiklein,

It appears as if something went wrong during the update of the plugin, like not all files were copied over correctly. Can you please remove Yoast SEO completely, and then reinstall the latest version?

Please let me know if that solves the problem for you.
