• Hi, I am not sure why but when I downloaded the MailPoet Plugin. My WooCommerce does not work. I received an email warning me of a site technical issue that there is an error on WooCommerce when MailPoet is activated. I deactivated MailPoet and my site works again. Can you help diagnose the cause of this because I really would like to use MailPoet. Thanks

    Hey @esther0708,

Cool site! Sorry to hear about these errors when installing MailPoet. This extension was created to work flawlessly with WordPress, so when an issue like this occurs, it’s normally caused by a conflict with a third-party theme or plugin. The best way to diagnose the problem is with a conflict test.

    How to test for conflicts

     1. Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four.

    2. Try to reproduce the problem: If the problem is resolved, it’s a theme conflict. If not, continue to the next steps.

    3. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and MailPoet.

    4. Try to reproduce the problem again. If the problem is resolved, it’s a plugin conflict. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step.

    5. Reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

For more detailed instructions, check out?How to test for plugin and theme?conflicts.

You can clone your site to a staging environment and perform tests without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking to see if you have one available. You can also create one using the free?WP Staging?plugin.
