This happened as soon as the plugin was automatically updated. Now my site says "There has been a critical error on this website." And I have no idea what to do. I can not log in to wp-admin. Thank you

    Hey @xdriver

I’m sorry you received that error. Google had an API outage with one of the endpoints that MonsterInsights uses. It’s extremely rare for one of their API routes to go down (for context, this route hasn’t gone down in many years (7+)). Unfortunately, we overlooked our plugin’s handling of it, we have patched that for the future. The Google API end point is also now back up and running.

Please make sure you are updated to the latest version of MonsterInsights.

    Thank you

Does that mean my site should automatically be working now, without the need to update to your patched plugin? If that happens to be the case, my site is still down. Thank you.

    Hi @xdriver,

To regain access to your WordPress admin, please try manually deactivating MonsterInsights (google-analytics-for-wordpress) by following this guide:?https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-easily-deactivate-wordpress-plugins/#deactivateallpluginsviaftp

Once your site has been restored, please update MonsterInsights to version 8.13.1 before re-activating the plugin.

If you are continuing to experience issues, would you be able to reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/lite-support/? Our team will be happy to take a closer look at things for you.

    Thanks so much!
