    Hi,
I am using a wordpress template called Grata. I have received the following notice from Wordfence:
Wordfence found the following new issues on “(my website)”.Alert generated at Sunday 30th of October 2016 at 05:54:10 PM. Critical Problems:* File appears to be malicious: wp-content/themes/Grata/xml/startup.xml

I asked my webmaster to check and he said the file is not corrupted and it is the original one.
Can someone help me with this?

    Thanks

  • Sure, do what your webmaster says. MTN

    Hi,

That XML file looks like it is updated dynamically by the theme to include the overall data structure of the site. Included in in that are unapproved comments, which are often spam, and one of those is most likely matching for one of our malware rules. The issue on the scan page should show a snippet of the matched text, and the link in that is probably a spammy URL.
