• Lately, I realized that share my web pages on Facebook didn’t include Open Graph info (Image, Title & Description)
After spending a bunch of time trying to figure it out, I came to realize it must have been when I installed Autoptimize CriticalCSS.com Power-Up. Everything worked approx 3 weeks ago and I think I installed that since then.

I deactivated it and now it seems to work properly

the problem is more then likely that, when no matching rule and if you don’t have a default rule set, the full CSS is injected in the HTML and that pushes the OG tags lower in the HTML where FB might not look for it any more.

the best solution would be to ensure you have an adequate default rule, that way the full CSS will never be inlined.

    hope this clarifies,

Looks like that’s what it was. Initially, I checked the code to make sure the og: tags were there, and they were W-a-a-ay down the page.
Now I checked it and they are near the top.

Please explain that solution. I am not sure what you are talking about. I currently have “Autoptimize CriticalCSS.com Power-Up” deactivated.

    Thanks

Well, the default rule is one you can add manually in the power-up by clicking on “add default rule css” button, where you can add whatever CSS you want. Easiest solution is to generate critical CSS for a “representative” page on criticalcss.com and paste that there. Then click “submit” and “save changes” and you’re good to go.
