Hi. It’s saying that Simple File List cannot create the file list directory. Something with your hosting environment is preventing it.

Can you please email me the information displayed on the Tools > Site Health > Info page?

    Thank you.

It looks like the problem is either related to your server’s Nginx config or a possible conflict with one of the 83 plugins you have active.

I suggest first contacting your web host. Tell them the plugin is not able to create a new directory and provide them with the error message.

If they can’t help, it’s then a matter of reducing the number of active plugins to try and find the conflict.

I went into troubleshooting mode and deactivated all plugins and themes. Still plugin caused error.

I am using WordPress hosting only. They looked into the matter and suggested its a plugin issue.

Its very clear that its not because of plugin conflict. I don’t know what to do now.

That’s unfortunate. It must then be an issue with your hosting. Please understand that this plugin is installed many times per day. If it was a bug in the code there would be many others reporting problems.

but my hosting is managed by wordpress only and they are saying everything is fine at their end.

Sorry, but I don’t know what managed by WordPress means.

    Try creating the directory manually…

    /wp-content/uploads/simple-file-list/

If the directory is already present, the plugin will just verify that it’s writable.
