This plugin is great but I have problem with automatic backup (WP cron option). The automatic backup starts only at the same time when I log in to the admin panel as admin. If I do not log in, nothing happens, no errors, no logs, no job stared.

Manual jobs works fine. However I had to set 5MB zip limit because of server issues. Without 5MB zip limit it suspended for a long time, then retried and returned errors.

Correction: I do not have to be logged in as admin. The cron job not starts at the scheduled time but if the website is accessed after the scheduled time. It is correct? intended in the plugin?

Today the automatic backup job started but not exactly at the scheduled time, 1 hour later. Moreover, in the google statistics I saw there was no website access at this time.

Automatic backup works fine. However not exactly at the scheduled time. Sometimes hour later, sometimes 15 minutes later. It is not a problem for me, it makes backup.

    Thanks,

I am having the same problem. The issues seems to be wp_cron does not run in the background:

I did not see this on my production site because I use a monitoring service to check it every 5 minutes. However on my staging site, it was only running when someone accessed the site.

If you don’t have a site that is constantly being accessed, it looks like you’ll need to select one of the other job start options or set up a monitoring tool, which seems to work well, though it’s not exact. Plus or minus a few minutes.
