Cron Job to Clear Cache

@mcstar We have a feature request open for this, however it’s relatively easy to set this up yourself using the Comet Cache API. See the example at the bottom of this article. Once you can clear the cache by calling a specific URL (preferably with a secret key as the demonstrates), you can set up a cron job that calls that URL.

Raam, that worked very well, thank you. It would be great to have a scheduler in the Pro version, but this is a good start and easy enough to implement. So, I have a few questions regarding the Pro version that I haven’t found answers for.

1) Preloading/Auto Cache – when the cache is cleared (manually, or by the above mu-plugins and cron) does the Pro version begin to preload and auto cache a site’s pages again? Preloading overnight would be a plus.

2) Preloading/Auto Cache – does the auto cache start at the top of the sitemap XML file and go backwards? If so, how far? What settings apply?

3) Minimize HTML/CSS – how similar is this function on the Pro version to the Autoptimize plugin?

4) Preview Pro – I’ve only read the details on CC Preview for Pro; does that work as a trial? Or, is it just a look-see of the Controls?
