Hello, I am trying to troubleshoot Cron jobs. WordPress doesn’t publish scheduled posts so I disabled WP cron and enabled Real Cron. It didn’t help, so I’m looking into the firewall settings.

In Wordfence > Tools > Connectivity, the three first rows are green and have a tick.

the last row “IP(s) used by this server” lists the IP which is black and has no tick.
Could this be the problem and if yes how do I solve it? Thank you.

    Hi @madhair,

“IP(s) used by this server” is informational rather than a check that must be passed so seeing this in black text is totally normal and not a sign of an issue with those IPs.

WordPress Crons run when your site is visited in a browser, so overdue jobs can be a problem when the site doesn’t receive much traffic whereas a scheduled task on your server should run when you specify. If they don’t even run when you are triggering them yourself, it may be worth speaking with your host to ensure everything is working as it should. I don’t suspect Wordfence itself to be blocking regular WordPress operations like scheduled posts (or other crons), but the plugin can be affected by failing crons in terms of its scheduled scans and updates.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
