Cron jobs stop working when enabling AIOS

Please update to today’s release of 5.0.6, which contains a fix for this issue, and sorry for the trouble!

Are you sure that you have updated the AIOS plugin to the AIOS 5.0.6 version?

Please remove the code line define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); from your wp-config.php file.

And then try again.

yes I am currently using AIOS 5.0.6, I updated 14 h ago.
and I don’t have the line: define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); in my wp-config.php file as when I tried it yesterday it crashed the website entirely, so I removed it after 1 mn.
I don’t have many plugins, and no other plugin is interfering as I disabled them one by one while retracing the issue, and everything is updated to the latest.
I am following Cron jobs with wp control plugin.
server is AWS EC2 T2 medium with RDS

After other tests and investigation, the website where I have the issue even with aios 5.0.6 is the one when I activate the aios plugin I have the cron problem but also: ‘The REST API did not process the context query parameter correctly’. and disabling the plugin solves both issues

Please make sure below described checkboxes are unticked and saved settings:

• Go to Admin Dashboard > WP Security > User Login > Additional settings (tab) and untick the checkbox “Disable Application Password” and save settings.
• Go to Admin Dashboard > WP Security > Misceelenious > WP REST API (tab) and untick the checkbox “Disallow Unauthorized REST Requests” and save settings.

And then can you please check again?

Hello,
I unchecked the disable application Password again and it didn’t solve the problem,
the wp REST API Tab I have never used it it is already unchecked.
I tried to do a dubbugging yesterday, disabling one by one of the options, and one by one of the other plugins, the only way to solve both issues is still to disable AIOS, I updated it today to 5.0.7.

I tried to test my other websites that are in different hosts with the same theme and plugins and same php, version the 5.0.6 solved the issue for them, but no one had the api issue when AIOS is activated

I am glad to hear the issue has been resolved on your end.

@pmbaldha the issue is not solved, in kidlee.fr where there is also the api issue, today I unticked every option of AIOS 5.0.7 as my last attempt to debug (as before I was unticking one by one and testing), even with that the issue persist, even by disabling other plugins, the only way to turn on CRON is to disable AIOS. and only in this website.

May I know which cron job you are running and facing trouble running it? May I know the cron job name and its plugin or theme name?

May I know if your cron job is run by the following instructions?

Please install and activate the “WP Control” plugin. Then open Admin Dashboard > Tools > Cron Events, find the respected Hook name and press on the “Run Now” link.

well from the beginning of the issue one week ago I installed WP Control, and I still can click on run now and the event would run successfully the first time but not the second time, but would stay on the waitinglist of all the other Cron jobs waiting, and would even duplicate and create one that had to run 52 years ago.

So to answer your first question ALL Cron jobs would stop and would gather in the waiting list until I disable plugin. I can share some of my cronjob list like crons from wp-rocket from broken link checker and from aios itself and core wordpress crons.
for exp in health check now the cron job that is mentioned to not be able to run is: aios_15_minutes_cron_event

my theme is divi but I have the same latest version installed on 20 other websites using AIOS and don’t have the same issue.
