    Hello,

There are 2 Cron Jobs in my install that have no actions associated with the hooks. The hooks are woocommerce_cleanup_rate_limits and wc_admin_unsnooze_admin_notes. Is it safe to delete these or do they actually work when the event runs even though no action is associated with them?

  • Hello,

To get more information about your cron jobs you can use the plugin:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-crontrol/

If you have any questions after that, let us know.

I am using WP Crontrol. Those event hooks I posted have no actions associated with it. Safe to delete?

    Hi @carmpocalypse

To clarify it a bit, woocommerce_cleanup_rate_limits is used to clean up your rate limits (as stated on the hook name), it basically resets your limits when using the WooCommerce API.

wc_admin_unsnooze_admin_notes handles the admin notes shown on your admin area.

I’d recommend updating everything and trying to run them again using WP-CRONTROL.

If your problem persists, can you share your System Status report with us? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Everything is green. WP Crontrol shows No Action, however the Admin notices and everything else seems like they work fine…

    Hi @carmpocalypse!

Everything looks fine! To clarify it a bit, when you go to WordPress Dashboard > Tools > Cron Events and hover over the hook, there’s no option to “Run now”?

There is an option to run now.

    Hi @carmpocalypse

There is an option to run now.

    Thanks for checking that.

I understand your query is whether it is safe to delete those event hooks.

As André has explained in his response above, the significance of those hooks, our recommendation is not to delete those.

If any problem surfaces due to those hooks then you may reconsider the question of deletion.
