  • Our plugins rely on the WordPress cron system to regularly schedule tasks that fetch and update feeds. Sometimes, a previously registered cron may still continue fetching feeds.

To try and resolve this, follow the steps below:

    1. Install the WP Crontrol plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Cron Events
    3. Delete all crons that have “wprss_fetch_single_feed_hook” as their “Hook name”. This will remove all automatic scheduled imports for all feed sources.

    I hope this helps.

Hi @thegodwhip, I don’t believe that’s a cron job related to our WP RSS Aggregator plugin. Once you’ve deleted the plugin from your website, there is no code available to run that would import any feed items, let alone posts.

What are the posts being added to your website? Where are they coming from (what source sites)? And were they previously set up as feed sources in WP RSS Aggregator?

Also, were you using any of our premium add-ons, and do you have any other RSS or import-related plugins running on your website at the moment? If you can share your Plugins list from the System info in WP RSS Aggregator > Debugging, that would be very helpful too.

hi @markzahra. this is true. i didn’t use another rss aggregator plugin. the posts are adding everyday at 3 pm. and the posts type always same. thats come from another news site in my country. i’m sure that i set the cron for daily horoscope. but after that time always add 1 sentence and the source site’s link. so i didn’t want it and removed. but it still.. i’m really bored with this nonsense. i don’t use any premim plugins or another rss plugin. i understand you will not solve this problem. now i will delete my blog and reinstall wordpress. thanks for not helping. !!!

@thegodwhip since this isn’t something we can reproduce ourselves, and it’s neither something that other users are currently facing, these questions are necessary to get to the bottom of what’s going on with your particular website.

When you say posts are adding…

Can you please elaborate on that by sending us links to such posts?
Which post type they are importing into?
Where you are finding them? Is it in the Posts list on your website?

If it is in the Posts list and you don’t use any premium add-ons from WP RSS Aggregator, I can assure you that WP RSS Aggregator is not at fault as only our Feed to Post add-on imports feed items as WP posts. The free version of our plugin doesn’t include any such functionality.

If it’s elsewhere, please let me know where so we can get to the bottom of this.

By any chance, have you contacted your hosting provider to see if they can shed some light on where the posts are coming from or how to remove any relevant cron jobs? Any good host will be happy to help you with this, so it’s worth a shot.

Hi @thegodwhip, had you investigated this further with your hosting provider since we last spoke?
