I recently installed the WP Control plugin, I see some schedules but I see that the cron is not running correctly, when I click on run there is a refresh on the page and the date changes to 50 years ago with an orange alert, even editing and adjusting the scheduling is not running. Any idea what might be going on?

Is there a warning at the top of this screen about the cron spawner not working correctly?

    Following
    Exact the same problem.
Run now = 50 years ago

    Got this error
There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:
cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds

Hoped i could fix it with this plugin

That error message is your problem. You’ll need to contact your web host for help with this, it’s nothing that WP Crontrol can fix.

    There’s a bit more info here: https://github.com/johnbillion/wp-crontrol/wiki/Cron-events-that-have-missed-their-schedule

I don’t know where he saw this information, but I can’t see anything but an error, I did the test with signatures and I also did the test with post scheduling, I miss all the appointments and nothing is published as the subscriptions are not expired .

In that case you’ll need to contact your web host about this because the cron system on your site is not working. This isn’t anything that I or WP Crontrol can help you with, unfortunately.

Can you delete the cron jobs that are listed 50 years ago. Or doesn’t that solve anything? Hosting company refuses to do anything.

    Have same problem on WPengine.

I have a PHP function that runs fine manually as a shortcode.

Create cron for this function to run daily. After couple days
nothing indicated it was run. I click “RUn Now” and see
“50 years 10 months ago” error in red.

Cron job not run at all, no error, nothing logged in Error log file!
