My server has a cron job that runs the WP tasks, so I disabled wp_cron. It’s been running correctly for months, so it was surprising that when I installed UpdraftPlus it warned me about pending tasks.

This warning made me waste some time double-checking that everything was OK with cron, with the pending tasks, etc.

I assume that UpdraftPlus warned because it noticed tasks that had been pending for a few minutes. Those are to be expected if the cron job only runs every 30 mins (for example). So it would be great if UpdraftPlus not only warned, but listed the tasks that it sees as outdated. That way it’d be much easier to diagnose whether there’s an actual problem or not.

In fact, my experience with 2 different hosts is that cron jobs are set to run every 30 mins. And the shortest interval that WordPress itself provides is hourly. So I would argue that only tasks older than 1 hour are warning-worthy.
