    Hello.

I just found out that Elementor adds a daily cronjob called “elementor/tracker/send_event”.

Any idea what it does exactly or if it’s necessary?
Do you think it’s safe to delete?

If from what I understand is tracking usage and sends information to Elementor, shouldn’t there be an option where the admin accepts or denies the optin?

    Please let me know.
    Thanks!

  • It’s a cronjob that sends usage data to Elementor if you’ve opted in to permit this (under Elementor > Settings in wp-admin you can opt-in to the sending of usage data). Deleting it won’t do any harm, Elementor will just recreate it. It triggers tracker.php (wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/tracker.php) which on line 58 checks the opt-in setting and only sends the data if it’s set to ‘yes’.

I see, thanks. I will try to delete it then and see if it re-appears.
