• Love the plugin, very useful on my site. I ran into an issue and I’m not sure if I’m executing it correctly. I had bulk regenerated all my thumbnails to be 200px cropped – center/center. There are a couple of images that I want to crop center/top because the focal point is at the top. I went to the image, click the details/options icon, selected the center/top box, the preview regenerates to the correct crop and says Done! Then I close the window, refresh where the images are located and the original thumbnail (center/center crop) shows up. It seems like the global setting is overriding my individual setting, as the checkbox goes back to center/center after it says Done! Is there a step that I am missing to save/show the new crop?

    Hi,

If you want to keep the manually cropped images in the position you manually used, you can enable the setting regenerate only missing files, so that the bulk actions skip what was already regenerated, without re-processing the images (the bulk actions are using the current settings that are saved for the plugin). After running the bulk actions, you might still see cached versions of images, and you might have to clear the browser cache to see the fresh files.

However, any manual update of the image (when you click the “regenerate” button for the image or the “crop”/”regenerate” for an individual sub-size) will not skip the already generated images and will regenerate the sub-size to the position that was selected in the setting for that sub-size.

Let me know if this helps.

    Regards,
    Iulia
