• Suppose I have a custom thumbnail size called ‘my_custom_img_size’ which is width=258px and height=112px. And I have an image of size 1050 x 705. With my custom image size, WordPress will generate a thumbnail sized 166 x 112.
What if I want WordPress to resize the image to 258 pixels width proportionally and then crop the leftovers on the height so it fits the 258 x 112?
Or the other way with an image that has width=509px and height 224px; reduce the image proportionally to 112 height and then crop the leftovers in width.
Is that possible? Wouldn’t it be good to have this option of crop?
