Crop Position on each slide won't change

  • Using Nivo Slider with Smart Crop ON. As you create a slide, the crop position can be set. However, it seems once the slider is saved, the position can’t be changed. Moreover, even by deleting the slide and create anew with the same image, the position seems to stick. Is this true for others? And if so, anyway around it?

    Some crop position changed, but I have no idea why some did and some didn’t. Some stick and some won’t. Inconsistent. Any idea?

    I’m playing with crop position with one of smaller sliders. Upper right of which title includes:（1914-1942）.

    3 slides are set as:
    Bottom Right
    Top Left
    Center Center

    One in middle works, but the rest doesn’t. It works sporadically sometimes but mostly won’t change and/or save(?) as wanted.

    Have you tried using the ‘Disable (Smart Pad)’ cropping option.

    This allow for both landscape and portrait images.

    Please note that this option is only compatible with Flex Slider.

    It is frustrating not to be able to use the features that exist. Is this a known issue or just me?

    I encounter another “settings fail to save” issue.

    For the main slider, which we utilize Flex Slider, Auto Play was set ON initially, and changed to OFF. That didn’t get saved. It remains ON.

    Hi there,

    If settings aren’t being saved there may be a JavaScript error.

    These are most often caused by conflicts with other plugins or sometimes the theme.

    Deactivating plugins and/or changing themes temporarily will help to determine the cause.

    I have deactivated plugins and theme, no avail.

    I thought the update to 3.3.4 would solve, but the situation got worse. After I read other support ticket regarding 3.3.4 update issues and its comments from other users as well as the responses from the developer, I used WP Rollback to go back to 3.3.3.

    Still problem saving things as basic things as auto-start, navigation dots displays or not; are not working. Please help.

    I’m so desperate that I would try the pro version, but I feel trapped to be honest.

    I’m having the same issue, and tried the same solutions with not results. Has this been resolved?

    @ Dave: Your suggestion to change to Flex Slider & Disable Smart Pad eliminated my problem with displaying vertical & horizontal images.

    I think it somehow also fixed my problem in not being able to get the time interval to increase in displaying the images. Now they’re displaying longer as I’d been trying to do.

    I must’ve just been using the wrong slider setting & should’ve been using Flex Slider.

    Is there any way to make the dark caption bar more transparent so you can see the image better underneath/behind the bar?
