• Thanks for this great plugin. Unfortunately I’ve found a little problem and would be happy if this could be solved.

I’ve created a ACF Aspect Ratio field with an aspect ratio of 16×9.

The problem is that even if an image is uploaded that already has the exact aspect ratio (I’ve uploaded an image with 1600x900px) a new cropped image is generated in the media library.

After the upload the media library shows

    originalimage.jpg
    originalimage-aspect-ratio-16-9.jpg

Is it possible to not generate a new image when the aspect ratio already matches?

    Dear joppuyo,

sorry to bother you. Did you get a chance to check this issue? Is this an intended behavior of the plugin? If not, is there a way to solve this problem?

    Whit best regards,
    Philipp

Hey apologies for the late reply but, I’m not able to reproduce this issue. There’s a check in the plugin if the image dimensions match the aspect ratio exactly the additional crop won’t be generated. I just tested it with 16:9 field and 1600×900 image and it seemed to work fine.

Are you sure you are not touching the cropping box? If you change it from the default crop, a new image will be generated since you are not creating a full image crop anymore.
