Cropped Product Photos

Please read through the following document, and especially the FAQ section, as it gives you specific information on the minimum/suggested size of images to use: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/adding-product-images-and-galleries/#section-9

Your images need to be a minimum size in order to “work” correctly. Please keep in mind that you should use the plugin Regenerate Thumbnails after changing any settings for images already uploaded.

Hi Linda. Thank you so much for your reply! The square 800×800 does not work for me as it crops my images. I have code written for 535×800. My newer images/products are the (bad) 800×800 and my older images/products are the size that I want them. I don’t know why or what happened…

For example, my “Black and White Earrings” and the other products that are this size in the Vintage-Inspired Jewelry category are the size that I want.

At Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce, you can change the cropping settings. Here you’ll set a width, then the cropping aspect ratio. More information on this here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/image-sizes-theme-developers/

If some image settings are missing, that means your theme is declaring them for you.

Hi Caleb. Thanks so much for your reply! My images should not be cropped. These are my settings:

I contacted the theme before this and it’s still messed up. So something has happened somewhere along the way… I had all of this the way that I wanted it (the sizes of the Black and White Earrings) and I don’t know what has happened or how to get it back the way that I had it.

Geez, it has happened again…why?!! I DO NOT want my images cropped! If I wanted them that size, I would have made them that size. So, what, if anything, am I doing wrong?
