• I (newbie) am unclear about what is supposed to happen when I override the default crop for a particular size of an image. If the default with the tick is centre centre, and I click top centre, it shortly says ‘done’ and the correct crop shows, but the tick remains centre centre. Is that right? (I would have expected the tick to move to top centre but maybe its not supposed to.) More important the image on the site has not been cropped top centre. Secondly should I click ‘regenerate’ after ‘done’ appears or not? It doesn’t seem to affect the result whether I do or not Maybe there is a theme clash going on, but I would like to be clearer about what should happen with IR&SC

i have noticed the same, and cropping is done from the top whatever you select since version 6.2. I rolled back to the previous version and all works as expected.

    Hi Jack and Craig,

I will review and come back with questions if I cannot replicate the issue. Thanks for letting me know.

    Have a nice evening!

    Hi,

I attempted to replicate an issue but had limited success. What you are describing is more of a feature.

The default crop position is what is used for any new image upload and for the bulk actions. However, when you are manually cropping an image you can select what position you want, but in the positions grid, you will always see the default position selected. The crop of an image can be done in two ways:
    – you click directly on the position checkbox
    – or, you click on the refresh button you see on the right side of the quality input.

Please check out my example, maybe it describes better the functionality

hi, yes I understand the functionality as you stated, but on my website, I have a top crop set as default, but when I upload a new image it is cropping in the center. this was from version 6.1. and I reverted to 6.1 and all ok.

it just auto-updated to 6.1.2 and issues returned so again I have reverted to 6.0

    Craig,

I will test some more. Could you send me the STATUS/DEBUG info, to see if there is some combination of plugins that could interfere?

    Have a nice weekend!

@divithemeexamples, have you tested in the latest version? there was a typo in the code that I fix, and I hope that also fixed the issue you mentioned.

    Craig

    (@divithemeexamples)

hey, unfortunately the issue is still there
