    Hi

    I’ve been using your plugin for 4-5 years without issue. Today though (version 1.3.1) a weird problem has come up. The plugin still works fine for me, but for a different Administrator user, they’re seeing an error message “Cropping to these dimensions on this image is not possible” … but only on certain image sizes which I’ve defined in functions.php. I can produce those crops without issue; another user can’t.

    Any idea what might be going on / what I could check?

    glad you like the plugin.
    I had a quick look into the code. This error will only occure if the crop region is invalid -> if the selection in x or y direction is negative.

    I would assume that the the browser the other user is using is outdated or have an browser-extension that changes the request to your server. Its also possible that another plugin disturbs the request.

    I would recommend -> he/she should try with another or fresh installed browser. If he/she still expirience problems you schould try to login with the account and test this. If the error also occurs on your browser then it’s another wp-plugin thats disturbs the request.

    Thanks for the reply. The other user is using Edge (presumably fairly recent), whereas I’m using Safari. Other than the user account, that’s the only difference, so highly unlikely to be a plugin clash. I’m also using pretty much the same combination of plugins as on a dozen other sites, and as I’ve mentioned this isn’t a problem I’ve come across before.

    I’ve asked them to try with Chrome; if that works OK I’ll update here in case you want to take a look at Edge compatibility.

    Hello again

    I never heard back from the client one way or the other, but subsequently they did email me with a different query which suggested they were now cropping successfully. I’m guessing that’s because they followed my suggestion to use a browser other than Edge, but can’t say for sure.

    @marknjones its ok, will test the plugin with edge browser and call it a day.
