• This Crosspost icon started appearing at the top of all my images. When I click on it, it says it’s Crosspost by Symphony, from Networked Blogs. I don’t recall requesting this and would like to have this gadget removed, but can’t figure out how. Can anyone please help? Thank you.

  • Today I have noticed this Crosspost by Symphony thing appearing above images. I have not installed this as a widget or plugin and also have not installed any other widgets or plugins by this company. I am on a Mac and not using the chrome plugin that is mentioned by them online. I can’t find any reference to it in the files though I am heading through the code in a mo with a fine tooth comb.
Wordpress please assist, is this some sort of Malware?

Ok, no worries WordPress – I have cracked it. It appears that another user of the website had enabled Networked Blogs on their Facebook, and the Facebook page and allowed it access somehow. I have popped in and revoked access via Facebook and all seems to be happy again. He says however that the networked blog access was for a blog to Facebook type widget long ago and that this further intrusion of ‘crosspost’ has not been authorised – networked blogs have just taken it upon themselves to pop it on! Very rude – look out people.
