    Hello there,

I have been a great fan of this plugin since I started using. I have been having render blocking issue for the wordpress custom css. I followed some advice in this support page and generated a critocal css file and included in the “Inline and Defer CSS”. SInce then my site have been giving me very low pagespeed scores. I tried to revert the change but no use. I uninstalled the plugin and even removed the cache file of the Autoptimize and then reinstalled it. Still no luck. Could you please guide me in this.

afraid Google Pagespeed Insights changes a couple of times per year, so scores can go down even if you changed nothing. I would advise to re-install Autoptimize with “inline & defer” on and then review not the score (which is just a number to get you interested), but the “lab data”, the “opportunities” and the “recommendations”. Feel free to follow up here if you have questions about those.

I get it what you are saying. I can ignore that. But after switching on “inline & defer” my site was having kind of a glitch. Sometimes the css doesn’t load properly and my site looks weird. Even after I switch off this feature, the critical css is still active. At the end I had to restore the site from an old backup.

I just want to know is there anyway we can revert back after implementing critical css.

well, disabling “inline & defer CSS” (and if need be purging page cache(s)) should be enough really.

I tried these methods. I even uninstalled Autoptimize and deleted autoptimize cache folder and files. No luck. Anyways, restoring an old backup fixed it. Thank you for the continuous support. Have a great day!

Well, if problems continue with AO disabled or removed, then either it is a page cache issue or something else (another plugin?) causing the problem.
