I am suddenly not able to purge cache from the Cloudflare plugin, getting a red progress bar at the bottom and the message “CSRF Token not found.” etc…

Last time I needed to purge a Cloudflare cache was maybe a couple weeks ago and it worked fine…

It is happening on ALL four of our WP sites in Cloudflare, different themes, varying collections of plugins…

Even after deactivating ALL plugins on one of the sites, except for Cloudflare, the issue continues…

Purging sites from within the Cloudflare account works fine…

    Please advise…

    Kind regards…

    Hi @crzyhrse,

We’ve only found out that CSRF Token error happens when a plugin highjacks file_get_contents(‘php://input'); from our plugin which they shouldn’t do.

This would mean that the plugin would not work in any inputs. Could you try to edit other settings or try to re-login again. If that’s the case then the issue is caused by something external like a plugin or a theme.

Hi @furkan811, and thanks for responding…

From your response not sure you read what I wrote, maybe just responding to the ticket title… As said it is happening on all four sites in Cloudflare, it continues when absolutely ALL plugins are are deactivated on one of the sites leaving only the Cloudflare plugin, and that there are two very different themes…

One of the two themes has not been updated in years, with two of the sites on it, and they been in Cloudflare since the they were created… Also to say that there have been no changes on the sites themselves since well before this began, except for regular updating to plugins and regular updating to just one of the themes (Divi), and that this issue started here very recently…

When you say re-log in do you mean to the sites…? in which case that has happened already on all the sites, since this began… Also to say we have been on the same servers/accounts for years…

You say something external…I guess it is possible there have been server updates, no knowing… Do you know of any issues regarding servers…?

I also wonder about the recent WordPress update, if changes there are maybe affecting the Cloudflare plugin…?

    Regards…

I’ve tested with the recent update. Unless it’s an edge I’m not aware of it shouldn’t be related

    > When you say re-log in do you mean to the sites>

Sorry for the confusion. I meant re-login to Cloudflare Plugin. You can logout by deactivating and reactivating the plugin.

When did you start using Cloudflare Plugin version 3.x? Have you tried to Purge Cache in previous versions

To answer your question, have used 3.x and all versions of cloudflare soon as it is updated, am on top of all updates pretty constant, don’t wait…

And just did the re log in on one of the sites, with the API key, and the issue continues…

    Were you able to login?

Did you have this issue in previous versions?

What do you mean log in…? I reentered the email address and API key, and the plugin seemed to take it, gave me it’s normal screen, and I tried to purge and same issue… I’ve not “logged in” to anything, so to speak, other than that…? Though I did log in to my cloudflare site account to get the API key again…

After deactivating and reactivating of course…

Thank you. I meant entering the API key to access Cloudflare plugin settings.

As I’ve tried to say a couple times this is just appearing, never before has it occurred… Not sure the last time I purged the cloudflare cache but at least a couple weeks ago, or a month…? Not sure… It worked fine then and always worked fine before…

Sorry for asking multiple times. I wanted narrow down the issue. I’ll be looking into it.

    Thanks

Thank you, I really appreciate that you are looking into it, I’ll be watching out… And understand your wanting to be sure of the circumstances here… I’d really like for the plugin to work, purging and for settings, etc as well… Have been looking at other Cloudflare/CSRF Token not found threads, not seeing anything that relates…

This is the first time we’re hearing this error happening which is not caused by an other plugin.

    (@crzyhrse)

It is the real deal it is really happening, deactivating all plugins… Could there be something server related…??

    Thread Starter crzyhrse

    (@crzyhrse)

OK, in case this helps someone else, it seems it was server related… All my sites’ cPanels in my reseller account were running php 5.5… When I changed them to php 5.6 the purging started working again across the board…

Thanks for letting us know and future users know what the issue is.
