Autoptimize on my website was working fine until I switched my hosting.
It’s visually broken and when checked speed from tools.pingdom I found that there are css cache files that are Lost.

The problem persists even after uninstalling the Autoptimize plugin.
    Please help me out!

UPDATE: My AO plugin got deactivated and deleted and got this message “The plugin autoptimize/autoptimize.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

Not entirely sure I understand @sarfrz; you first write you uninstalled and then you write “it got deactivated and deleted” but then the error-message implies that autoptimize was hard-removed from the filesystem without having been properly deactivated causing WordPress to deactivate it automatically …

But I just visited your homepage and all seems fine now?

    Yes I fixed it now…
    .
Here’s what I did, I deleted Css Cache folder (wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css) and recovered that folder from my old hosting server and placed it there but nothing happened, the problem was same…

Then reinstalled AO plugin.. after few hours it automatically got removed and left this message – “The plugin autoptimize/autoptimize.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

I again Installed AO and optimized it… Now it works Perfect

    happy it works now! ??

this is worrysome though; “after few hours it automatically got removed”. any idea how?

    (@sarfrz)

Can’t say why actually it got removed. But I guess I removed Css cache files, maybe that’s why…

well, that would most certainly explain yes ??

removing cache AO files could cause your site breaking if cached HTML would still refer to the removed AO files, but it would not cause the plugin to be removed or auto-deactivated.

but hey, it’s friday-night (in this part of the world) and everything is fine now, so let’s just be happy? ??

    enjoy the weekend!
