    thanks for using MH Newsdesk lite.

    Please be aware that CSS code is for styling purposes, not to add new functionality. What you have in mind isn’t possible out of the box with your free theme and would require custom coding within a custom child theme.

    If you’re looking for a news ticker and a search bar in the header, you could have a look at the premium version of MH Newsdesk which contains a news ticker and search bar in the header out of the box. You can see that in this theme demo.
