    I am very new to all this (I bet you have all heard that before) I was wanting to make a child theme for responsive so I could change a few things in the style css file. I made a responsive-child folder and then inadvertently made a style css folder rather than a file that was to go into the resonsive-child folder. I was trying to follow the directions here – https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes
    I then deleted the style css folder and created the style css file
    I then decide to have a look in the main responsive style css file and all it had in it was this –
    /*

  • Hey Pedro,

    You haven’t done anything wrong, no worries! That’s all that’s in Responsive’s main css file. If you want to see what’s actually used, it’s located under core/css/

    Nothing should need to be fixed! From what I got from your top bit there, you did create your style.css file with the necessary info in your child theme folder? You just have to make all your changes there ??

    Thanks for that SomewhatRounded,
    I did not see how I could have deleted it but just thought that I would check. I will read up a little more before I go any further. You have a great day and I appreciate your help,
    Pedro.

    We also have the Responsive Theme but not with the Child Theme and would like to change the background colour from white to grey and the caption colour to another as well. If I edit the style.css sheet, will I lose my customization as stated in the warning. If so, is there any way around it to change the background color and the caption color. Thanks

    If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic instead of tagging onto someone else’s topic. As per the theme developer’s request, please post in the theme’s dedicated forum: https://cyberchimps.com/forum/free/responsive/

    I am now closing this 3 month old topic as it references an older version of WordPress.
