CSS for colour background

  • I wish to have a header on all pages except home, coloured background with a line of text (different text for each page, and was referred to your plugin. You have a screenshot of turquoise background with 1 line of text in the middle, which is exactly what I want to achieve.

    Non coder with less than basic grasp of CSS. Have tried various things without success. Using Genesis framework with Flex Pro theme.

    Please could you assist with CSS to achieve the above. I also need it full width.

    Hi 43jessieg,

    First off, this plugin unfortunately can not add headers to every page except your homepage. It only allows you to add headers to individual pages. This sounds like all pages, I know, but the header won’t show on pages like 404 pages, search pages, archive pages etc. You would also have to add the header on every single page individually.

    I just released a new plugin, Blox Lite (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/blox-lite/) that will do exactly what you want. I encourage you to check it out and at least watch the video. It will require you to do some coding, but I can walk you through it if you like.

    The implementation is different for Blox Lite vs. Genesis Custom Headers, so let me know which you want to try using and we can work through it!

    Yes, I understand you need to add to individual pages etc. it is a business site not a blog, so does fit my needs. I will download the Blox Lite and see if I can work that out, if not will report back.
