CSS ID does not seem to save

  • This one-page site is mostly done. But primary navigation uses #sectionid method to go to the main sections on the page. When I am in the builder and try to add the matching id, it does not save. Here are my typical steps …
    Edit Section > Advanced > CSS ID > services [ UPDATE green button ] …then in WP dashboard Update

    Tried the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin that offers a troubleshooting mode, to turn off all plugins. No change. I do not suspect the theme (yet).

    After two days, the site is now showing these IDs: services, ourmission, contact.

    The weird thing: When this first started, I repeatedly flushed the server cache where the site is hosted. I also repeatedly used Ctrl+F5 to force a reload in the browser.

    Any comments from Elementor users about adding CSS and not seeing it on site? WITH clearing the server cache and forcing a fresh download?
