• I have a self hosted WP blog and I have a theme from themeslayout.com installed the blog called Timberdesk. I am trying to modify the CSS to make the header bigger so that I can add some stuff right at the top next to the logo. I want to know what I can do to make everything below the navigation menu move down so I can add stuff to the top part of the blog.

I tried modifying the CSS but it’s not working. You can check out the blog here https://guitar.grantdeken.com

I really need help with this.

  • add some stuff right at the top next to the logo –
    it’s not working

    is a very generic description.

often the size of the div grows with what you put in; so describe first what that ‘stuff’ is that you would like to integrate, and if that is not making space for itself, you can try to edit the css (and maybe get some help here).

basic html and css has nothing directly to do with wordpress.
you might find some information here:
